John Jameson 10 Year Old Backhouse & Company Bottling
Bottled by H. Backhouse and Co. Dundalk, this is a rare old 10 year old bottle of Jameson. The label and capsule all show some signs of age. Capsule is embossed with the JJ&S emblem. The clear glass bottle actually has the Powers logo stamped into the base, which most likely means it was used because the bottler had ran out of Jameson glass. There is no statement of volume or alcohol strength.
The firm of Henry Backhouse are still in existence as a solitors and property dealers. They were originally a mineral water and whiskey bottlers and have been trading since the 1920s.
